RECORDING ENGINEER +

MUSIC PRODUCER

Matt knows what it’s like to be both sides of the glass. After 20 years as a touring musician (with roots in L.A., SF, and Nashville), he brings a songwriter’s heart to every technical decision.

His training is impeccableβ€”valedictorian at SAE, apprenticeships with legends like Steve Albini, Jay Joyce, and Anthony Falconeβ€”but what artists remember is how he listens.

At 2200 Studios (Sausalito’s iconic former Record Plant), Matt channels that rare duality: the precision of a top-tier engineer and the sensitivity of a collaborator who hears what your music wants to be.

Whether producing or mixing an emerging artist’s debut or an established band, his process stays rooted in one truth: Great songs thrive where technical mastery and human intuition collide.

"My job isn’t to impose a soundβ€”it’s to help you recognize your own."
