RECORDING ENGINEER +

MUSIC PRODUCER

Matt knows what it’s like to be both sides of the glass. After 20 years as a touring musician (with roots in L.A., SF, and Nashville), he brings a songwriter’s heart to every technical decision.

His training is impeccable—valedictorian at SAE, apprenticeships with legends like Steve Albini, Jay Joyce, and Anthony Falcone—but what artists remember is how he listens.

At 2200 Studios (Sausalito’s iconic former Record Plant), Matt channels that rare duality: the precision of a top-tier engineer and the sensitivity of a collaborator who hears what your music wants to be.

Whether producing or mixing an emerging artist’s debut or an established band, his process stays rooted in one truth: Great songs thrive where technical mastery and human intuition collide.

"My job isn’t to impose a sound—it’s to help you recognize your own."
